MAIN TERMS

If, during the work, other problems are brought to our attention and we feel that additional work is necessary and we are able to help, Meliodas Plumbers will agree with the customer and obtain acceptance of any additional charges before we begin.

Our normal business hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, excluding holidays. For emergencies, we grant ourselves the freedom to decide if we can intervene beyond these working hours or not.

Every effort will be made to ensure that the service team members are clean, respectable and well trained for the work required.

Our goal is to ensure that the work is completed with minimal disruption to the customer. We will take the appropriate steps to get the job done as promptly as possible, while ensuring that the items are working and in safe condition.

Best efforts will be made to complete the work as agreed upon with the customer, however, delays can occur and therefore Meliodas Plumbers cannot be blamed and held responsible for delays that are beyond our control. In the event of a delay, we will complete the work in the shortest possible time.

If damage is done to the plaster and masonry, it is the customer’s responsibility to repair it.
Meliodas Plumbers cannot be held responsible for damage to wallpaper, paint, tiles, carpet, furniture, etc. All silicone work carries no warranty.

We will remove all waste from the site whenever possible, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Sometimes, no matter how well we do the work, we may not be able to get the facilities back in good working order.

If this is the case, we will inform the customer as soon as every effort has been made. Please feel free to inquire during the work.
The customer must ensure after the work that the requirements have been met. It is much easier to explain or discuss any problems that may arise with the client on site. The client will be asked to sign the invoice upon completion of the work. The client’s signature certifies that he/she is satisfied with the work, the labor and material costs, the manner in which the contractor(s) performed the work, and the condition in which the property was left after the work.

CLIENT’S OBLIGATIONS

The client shall allow us the access necessary to perform the work.

It is the client’s responsibility to protect furniture, furnishings, fixtures and equipment. Meliodas Plumbers will make all reasonable efforts to avoid causing damage. We suggest that the customer remove items that are considered a problem. If items remain in the work area, it is the client’s responsibility to cover them up.

Paint and wallpaper can sometimes be damaged. It is the customer’s responsibility to take any protective measures deemed necessary.
The customer must obtain all necessary approvals, from any owner or local authority, before commencing work.

A power supply (220 or 240v) is often required. The customer must provide this power supply as well as a suitable standard outlet reasonably close to the work area. This power supply is free of charge to us.

If corrective work is required, Meliodas Plumbers cannot be held responsible for any problems that may arise if the customer does not accept our advice.
It is important to us that our clients understand the nature of the work required. Please feel free to ask questions or request information that will give you peace of mind.

ABOUT PAYMENT

Payment is due at the time the work is performed. Any unpaid invoices will be forwarded to our attorneys and will be subject to a surcharge of 15% plus VAT to cover incurred collection costs. This surcharge, as well as all other legal fees and costs incurred, will be charged to the client and will be legally enforceable.

COMPLAINT PROCEDURE

Should the customer have a complaint, first see if the problem can be resolved quickly. If, however, the customer wishes to take the matter further, he/she should put the complaint in writing to the address on Meliodas Plumbers invoice or by mail to service@meliodasplumbers.co.za . If we feel that the complaint is justified, the necessary work will be carried out at no extra cost. If we return to the site and the requirements are such that the work required is outside the scope of the original supply, all the work will be charged at an agreed rate.

THESE TERMS OF USE WILL CONTINUE TO APPLY UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED ON THIS PAGE. NO ORAL OR WRITTEN REPRESENTATION OF ANY KIND SHALL SUPERSEDE THE CONTENT OF THIS DOCUMENT.
